Neighbours became suspicious, and a murder plan had unfolded like a crime thriller when the body was buried. When the local police looked into the death case of Malamalkavu, Pulikkal Siddique, they found that it was not a natural death and that it was a murder.
Siddique’s death was reported to neighbours and a few relatives the previous night. However, the speed with which his family buried the corpse aroused questions.
Neighbors had alerted the Trithala police, who conducted a fast investigation and determined that Siddique’s wife, Fathima, was involved in his murder. Fathima was arrested and is now in police custody.
Fathima was taken to the crime scene by police on Thursday evening, when she was interrogated and evidence was collected. She was dressed in a PPT kit. She went into detail with the police about what occurred during the incident.
At Malalkavu, Siddique was a seafood trader who was friendly to everyone. He went through a hard time emotionally after a terrible accident killed his 13-year-old son.
Despite the accused’s claims to the contrary, police had doubts about his story and were investigating whether anybody else was involved in the murder as well. Fathima thinks that the murder was done because it was hard to live with someone who had mental problems.
