A challenging poster by a BJP Chennai cadre promising Rs One crore to the one, who can prove if an Indian citizen would be affected by the Citizenship Act, has surfaced in the state.
The poster has been displayed near Poonamallee Mount Road, Adyar, Adambakkam, High Road, Adyar, Tambaram and near Pachiyappa’s College besides other areas.
According to a BJP spoke person, Thangavel from Namakkal who was behind the posters, this is an effort to raise social awareness among the people on false information about CAA.
“Due to much fake news spread by the political party and some media, our Muslim brothers are distressed over an issue that doesn’t exist in the nation.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami accused the opposition DMK of confusing the people of Tamil Nadu on CAA for their political benefits.
