The NDTV announced through its official Twitter handle that the news organization strongly condemns the controversial comments made by news editor Nidhi Sethi. She has been suspended for two weeks from her duty. According to the public, about this two-week suspension is just a drama and nation demands a legal punishment on her for supporting a terror group.
A Delhi-based journalist associated with NDTV online news portal has been suspended for two weeks for putting up an objectionable post on her Facebook page about the Pulwama, Jaish-e-Mohammed terror attack.
Nidhi Sethi, Deputy News Editor of NDTV, can be clearly seen to be supporting the banned terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed through her FB post, having used a hashtag #HowstheJaish (Jaish-e-Mohammed).
This has come under heavy fire on social media with public slamming he acts of glorifying the terror attack on a CRPF bus in Pulwama that made at least 40 jawans dead. It was the biggest attack on the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sethi had written, “Where a grisly 44 has been proven to be greater than the mythical 56.” With this, she added the hashtag #HowstheJaish. This is the same #hashtag which is being used by other sympathizers of the Pakistan-based terror outfit.
An Aligarh Muslim University student, Basim Hilal, has also been expelled and an FIR registered against him for using the same hashtag with his Twitter post.
ATS is watching all hashtags that support the terror outfits and more actions will take place soon.
