Kerala has reached a 50% deficiency in this year’s southwest monsoon till July 19, according to a report from the Meteorological Department in Thiruvananthapuram. The state has released red alerts in five of the 14 districts in the Kerala state showcasing that the monsoon will gather heavy over the next few days.

The red alert warning is a call to the state’s disaster management authority to immediately take precautions action to secure people from vulnerable place to camps.
