Kerala Public Service Commission or Kerala PSC has invited applications from eligible candidates for joining in the University Assistant posts in various areas of Kerala University.
Before applying for the University Assistant job, eligible candidates should register through the official website of Kerala PSC, thulasi.psc.kerala.gov.in
Job candidates who had been registered with this Kerala PSS website can apply for University Assistant post through their existing registered profile ID. Kerala PSC has not declared the number of vacancies yet for this post. The applications for this post will be accepted until March 16.
According to Kerala PSC reports, the existing rank list for both University Assistant and Computer Assistants in universities are will get expired in 2019.
PSC had published the rank list of Computer Assistant for Kerala University last year. The list is valid until this year end.
“The Rank list of selected candidates published by the PSC in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier,” the PSC notification said.
Eligible candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancy noted above and that may be reported to the PSC in writing during the period of the currency of the list.
The PSC said in its Kerala University Assistant notification that only candidates born between 02-01-1982 and 01-01-2000 are eligible to apply for the University Assistant post with usual benefits to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. 3% of the total number of vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible disability candidates.
The candidates selected to the Kerala University Assistant post shall be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years during which the candidates selected shall pass Secretariat Manual and Accounts test.
Approximate salary for the post-Kerala University Assistant post will be Rs. 34370
