The Nair Service Society (NSS) has determined not to attend the Pinarayi initiated conference of “progressive social organizations” to discuss the difficulty of entry young women to Sabarimala. Section 144 had extended up to 30 at Sabarimala sannidanam, Pampa, Nilakkal, and Elavunkal. Police said the decision to extend the section 144 has been extended for four more days. The decision was taken by the district collector on the basis of the police report. Last month, section 144 was issued for seven days from midnight on 15th. The police wanted to extend section 144 until the end of pilgrim season. The new police team will be in charge of Sabarimala from November 30th, IG Dinendra Kashyap will head the new team.
