Kerala State BJP general secretary K. Surendran has questioned the intention behind the government projected ‘women’s wall.’ The wall campaign has aimed toward furthering the political agenda of the CPI(M), according to him.
The BJP leader, who let off the Poojappura Central jail on Saturday after being granted bail by the high court, said he was subjected to grave human rights violations while in custody for twenty-two days. Surendran was arrested at Nilakkal while going to Sabarimala earlier.
At a press meet at the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club on Saturday, K. Surendran asked left government Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to clarify whether the wall campaign had connected to the government’s bid to facilitate young women’s entry to Sabarimala.
He added the women wall had made to protect the LDF women party workers from their party leaders. He connected two tortures, within the CPM party.
He raised the issue within the wake of Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan’s claim that the women’s wall was supposed to shield the values of the reformation movement.
Natesan, the chairman of the general council, brought about to organize the statewide campaign, has said that it’s not associated with the Sabarimala issue. If so, it remains to clarify why a movement to preserve the State’s reformation values had restricted to women,” he said.
Surendran said that the State should accept that it is a move to facilitate entry of young women in Sabarimala on the pretext of implementing the SC judgment had defeated.
The Chief Minister claims that the govt. Is not in a hurry to implement the directive has backtracked from his earlier stance. He is answerable to the general public for having imposed prohibitory orders in the region for the first time. Besides, there has been a steep fall in the number of devotees,” he said.
Surendran also alleged that the state government had imposed five false cases against him. Police had submitted a report to the court about the fake case that had made.
